One was Violated...and Will Have Retribution...

The war against the Shidoshan, that engulfs Earth and Haydon, its largest independent Colony, actually begins 21 years earlier, with the Shidoshan's meeting and subsequent war with another race, the Bao Masai...

A Shidoshan Resource Hunter Fleet, scouting a new solar system for souces of energy and worlds to terraform, came across a planet devoid of sentient life which seems to house a tremendous source of energy in the form of small seedlings buried in the ground. The single-minded Shidoshan take no time in setting up operations to extract and research the energy source.

Nearly a month following, the Bao Masai, a race from another system, arrives. They have come to claim what they say is theirs. The Bao Masai issue a warning to the Shidoshan vessels in orbit over "their" planet...they are to return what was taken, referred to as 'seed cores', and leave immediately. The Shidoshan, unwilling to return what they still believe to be a valuable resource, and not recognizing any claim the Bao Masai have to the planet, refused. In sight of this impasse, frustration gave way to anger. The Bao Masai vessel attempts to attack the Shidoshan ship, but is soundly overpowered and destroyed. Wanting to put as much distance between this incident and themselves, the Shidoshan took their newfound resources from the planet and left soon after.

The Shidoshan truly did not understand ramifications of their actions, or what they really took from the planet. With their warnings ignored and the subsequent attack on their emissaries, the Bao Masai declared a war...one that they will not end until they have broken the Shidoshan and taken back what was theirs...
