PART TWO:
One Will Win, No Matter the Cost...
With the violation of their peace, the
Bao Masai Empire rose to wage war against the Shidoshan
Dynasty. However, they soon realized that achieving
victory was not as simple as declaring war...
The Bao Masai were unprepared for
the level of opposition the Shidoshan were able to
give, whom regarded the Bao Masai as a moderate threat,
but well worth the price of this energy source.
They were able to take other worlds that housed the
Bao Masai's seed cores, even when the worlds were
being defended by their forces. For the next 10
years, the Shidoshan would continue to make Bao Masai
worlds part of their territory.
Then, the tide turned. The
generation of Bao Masai that developed during the war
with the Shidoshan grew to truly understood what was
needed to fight and win. New weapons and
technology were developed for these warriors, based in
part on the techniques ans style of the Shidoshan.
In only 5 years, they would liberate the worlds annexed
by the Shidoshan, and start winning their war.
True to their original decree, they would continue on
until the Shidoshan were all a memory.
The Bao Masai's
advancement would not last, however. The
Shidoshan, taking the Bao Masai as a truly serious
threat now, began a new offensive. With the
research gained from studying the seed cores, they
learned earlier that the Bao Masai and the seed cores
were genetically identical, and even found seed cores on
the corpses of Bao Masai. With this knowledge, the
Shidoshan were able to fashion weapons that proved fatal
to the Bao Masai, as the Shidoshan were able to take
life on a planetary scale...severly raising the stakes
in this war...
Once the Bao Masai discovered the
basis of this latest act of the Shidoshan, their already
driven anger became intense ferocity, feeling that the
Shidoshan were using their own kind to kill them.
Using their own weapons, the Bao Masai were able to
develop a method that would remove the Shidoshan from
any world they inhabited, but safe for
other life forms. With both sides in possession of
terrible weapons, a virtual stalemate was reached.
Both sides would fight and kill, unable to come to any
forseeable end, and unwilling to stop.
The Shidoshan, knew that
eventually, the Bao Masai's weapon and very nature,
would overtake them. They came to the conclusion
that, with the Bao Masai's weapon making planet
unhospitable for Shidoshan physiology, they would need a
third party in their corner to aid them. Earlier
in their space explorations, the Shidoshan quietly
observed a species located in a system of
planets in their vicinity. It appeared to the
Shidoshan that this species did not originate in this
system, and that they were colonists. What they
also noticed, is that this species was at war with
themselves...but above that, they had the minds for war,
possessing the ferocity that could rival even the Bao
Masai. They did, however, appear dangerous to
approach outright. What they would do, is discover
where this species truly originated, and find a way to
obtain their aid in fighting the Bao Masai...through
either subversion or subjugation.
Possibly risking a war on two sides, the Shidoshan would
take the risk and do whatever they could
enlist the species known as humans....
